FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Below you'll find some common and frequently asked questions about IV therapy and our services. Don't forget to contact us with any additional questions.
Intravenous (IV) therapy is defined as the minimally invasive process of administering fluids directly into a vein as a therapeutic treatment. This can be in the form of simple IV hydration therapy which constitutes fluids only or IV nutritional therapy which adds vitamins, nutrients, and amino acids to the fluid. This process can also be referred to as an IV infusion or simply a drip.
IV therapy is used by doctors and hospitals to provide fluids and nutrients to patients the world over. This helps the patient stay hydrated and provides the necessary nutrients for treatment.
Now, the next generation of IV therapy is here. Highly skilled, experienced medical professionals are administering IV drips to clients ranging from stay-at-home moms to pro athletes and even cancer patients. When performed by an experienced professional, IV therapy is the absolute best way to receive fluids and nutrition.
It may be difficult to imagine why anyone would want to get an IV voluntarily. Often times, understanding the benefits of IV therapy can help explain why this technique of delivering vitamins is growing in popularity.
IV therapy benefits include:
- Guaranteed hydration
- 100% absorption of vitamins
- Immediate delivery
- Fast Acting
- Cumulative effects
With IV nutrition therapy, nutrients are delivered along with fluids. This ensures that your body is properly hydrated and the symptoms of dehydration are taken out of the equation immediately.
Unlike oral intake methods such as pills or liquids, IV therapy allows vitamins, amino acids, and other nutrients to enter the bloodstream directly, bypassing the traditional absorption process, effectively ensuring 100% absorption.
The effects of the IV infusions are extremely fast acting, with many clients reporting that they felt a difference almost immediately. In addition, the effects of IV therapy are cumulative which means that the body slowly builds up a stockpile of vitamins and amino acids that it can use when needed.

Unfortunately, no. Most insurance plans do not cover advanced IV therapy services.
Once again this depends entirely on the drip, shot or cosmetic injectable you select.
Generally, single-vitamin and cocktail shots take as little as 10 minutes. Cosmetic injectables can take as little as 15 minutes, while our drips usually range from 30 minutes to 1 hour or more.

Yes. In most cases we recommend working with your primary care provider to perform basic bloodwork. The specifics can be discussed during your initial intake.
No. The drips on our menu do not require a doctor's prescription.
However, if you are under the strict care of a physician for an existing illness, we do recommend that you consult your physician prior to making any changes to your treatment plan. If your doctor requires a custom IV infusion to coincide with a treatment plan, you will need to provide a prescription for that specific IV.
Prior to a drip being administered, our medical staff will review your registration paperwork and provide an assessment.
Most clients see results in 24-72 hours.
However, everyone’s body is different and can experience an IV drip differently. During the drip, some individuals may taste and/or smell the vitamins and minerals, while others may not.
We advise our clients to drink water during their infusion to help minimize this. As with any infusion therapy, it has a cumulative effect – meaning repeated drips will produce effects that are more pronounced than those produced by the initial dose.
We understand that no one likes to intentionally get poked or prodded. To help minimize that uncomfortable feeling we offer a topical numbing agent upon request.
Starting the IV is perhaps the most uncomfortable part of the whole process. That said, many of our clients have described "the poke" as nothing more than slight discomfort, or as a pinch. Many times, the IV is started and the client doesn't even know that it's over.
We make every effort to keep any possible pain to an absolute minimum.
